Michael Robinson Byrd is the Founder of the Bridge Points Project, which forges bridge points between America’s ethnic and cultural voting blocs.

His political work is dedicated to affecting government policy through engagement in elected leaders’ donor networks. He has also served as President of MRB Associates, a leading political fundraising firm.

Michael brings almost 20 years of professional experience with multiple campaign successes across the political fundraising arena. During this time he’s raised half a billion dollars in funds and established an expansive and mature network of business leaders, Fortune 500 executives, and recognized philanthropists. Michael attributes his success to connectedness, respect for others, and a healthy sense of humor. He’s recognized for his professionalism and ability to connect donors with causes that inspire their passion.

Michael’s Bridge Points Project is the culmination of his personal and professional experiences. He was raised in a Midwestern Scots-Irish culture and is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. His professional career in Republican politics was centered in San Francisco. The antagonism between the seemingly diametrically opposed cultural blocs he belongs to has at times troubled, fascinated and ultimately challenged him to forge bridge points between them.

Michael lives in DC. When he is not writing or building social networks, he can be found wandering the globe.
